Since NOSY and Mountbatten started working together over five years ago, we have produced a series of films, helping the charity raise awareness and money across the Isle of Wight and Hampshire.

Involving everyone from patients to participants and staff to supporters, we have been trusted to tell Mountbatten's evolving story of community, compassion, love and legacy.

This year, Without Mountbatten, gained recognition at the Smiley Film Awards, winning a Silver People's Choice Award and a Bronze Judges' Award.

Hospice CEO, Nigel Hartley, believes the connection we have forged over the years influences the impact of the films.

"Mountbatten's story is never ending," said Nigel.

"Trying to tell that story and help people understand the fullness of what we are doing and achieving is almost impossible.

"I can stand up and talk about Mountbatten and people hear it but after a few days, the impact is watered down.

"What film does, and what capturing it in a very concrete way does, is keep the story real. The more people see it, the more it's shared and understood and that helps to give us longevity.

"Over the years, I've worked in a number of hospices and whenever we've made a film, we've usually had a crew come in, they've done what they need to do, and then leave and we don't see them again.

"With Mountbatten and NOSY, there's something around the relationship and the story between us and how it has grown and developed.

"The team share the same culture and values and they understand us. That really helps.

"When they are here, they are familiar to everyone, we trust them and we know at the end of it, we'll have another great film to help us."
