For this year’s Isle of Wight Chamber Business Expo, we decided on an alternative approach to the usual merch giveaways. The response was potty.

It’s amazing what can be achieved when you try something different!
For this year’s Isle of Wight Chamber Business Expo, we decided to ditch the classic giveaways like branded pens and notepads, instead favouring a selection of fantastic plants.
Bought from Care in the Garden, a local CIC creating work opportunities for adults with additional needs, the plants helped us to create an eye-catching, mini oasis inside in the Expo tent.
The display sparked interest among visitors, and gave us an opportunity to drive conversations about our efforts to put the environment at the forefront of our work.
Across the day, we handed out over 75 plants and 50 vegetable seed kits to visitors who popped by.
Deon Redpath, Marketing Director at Wightfibre, was among them.
“It was a very clever idea,” said Deon.
“It was an absolutely amazing display, good for the environment and a great example for everyone going a bit more green.”
Sam Simmonds, Quality Manager at Sandrock Services, was also impressed.
“They were beautiful plants and we’re going to have a competition in the office about who can grow them the best. Great idea guys.”
The NOSY team wore Let’s Grow Together t-shirts, supplied by Teemill and printed on soft, ethically sourced organic cotton, produced in a renewable energy-powered factory.
You can buy them here.
Matt Greg, NOSY founder, said:
“Just like that, the plants were gone.
“We had a brilliant day and a fantastic response to the stand, with plenty of positive conversations with clients, friends and new connections.
“The whole event had real energy, with local businesses thriving, and it was great to be part of it.”
We live in a world where 'growth at all costs' doesn't align with a sustainable future. Instead, we look at the impact we have on the prosperity of people as a key benchmark of our success.
The East Cowes community came out in force to help tidy up the town recently, in the latest installment of our Rubbish Networking event.
When numbers to Cowes Harbour Commission’s AGM declined, action was needed to conserve the communication. We were pleased to help.
