People say that moving house is high on the list of the most stressful things in life. But moving office and your business could well be equally stressful, if not more so!

... Yet we did. We’re now fully here and raring to go in Building 41 in Northwood.
The decision to move to a more sustainable, modern, fresh environment where collaboration is high on the agenda and the facilities are excellent, was a natural progression for NOSY.
From co-working spaces, meeting rooms, and hot desks to the very smart coffee machine in the building that utilises biophilic architecture, it’s perfect for our needs. The building was officially opened on the 9th of February and a couple of hundred of the Island’s business community members came to see what all the excitement was about.
So, why did we think that Building 41 was for us? Well, here are just a few reasons, and sometimes it’s the little things that count and add up to the bigger picture…
perfect for small and micro businesses to not just have their own space but to feel part of a community of businesses. And what’s more, they’re available to rent on an easy in-and-out basis. Great for meetings of all sizes and to feel part of something bigger.
Thanks to WightFibre, the building has super-fast WiFi which is crucial, especially for a business like ours which drives productivity and well, just helps us to get on with the important stuff.
Imperative for a planet-conscious business like NOSY while we transition to less emission heavy modes of transport. There is also a nearby bus stop, bike sheds for those travelling on two wheels (and showers onsite for post cycles) and a handy Beryl scooter point within minutes.
Energy giver, improver of cognitive function, and studies say improver of microbiome diversity (that’s your gut). And at Building 41 in our fully equipped kitchen, we have a stellar coffee machine from a local supplier (The Island Tea & Coffee Co.). As we said, sometimes it’s the little things.
Exciting times for us. We’ve been recruiting for a new videographer and are super busy in our new space. The original ethos behind Innovation Wight’s Building 41 project was to improve the Island’s business productivity as well as focus on a range of business support activities, and with our upcoming Creating a Marketing Plan workshop just around the corner, we’re already feeling the benefits.
