The Isle of Wight College

Lockdown summer digital marketing campaign results in great success.

The Isle of Wight College approached us for a summer marketing campaign before the new academic year starts. The campaign had to appeal to different audiences across different mediums. From parents browsing local media sites to teenagers scrolling through TikTok and Instagram. The overall goal was to attract more admissions and apprenticeship placements, as well as increase the College’s awareness within the Island community.

Our Approach

We decided to produce a mixture of static adverts and video content for the campaign. The static adverts were utilised across a variety of platforms and websites:

  • Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok and Twitter
  • Local radio station
  • 3 different local newspapers (digital and print)
  • 2 other local community websites

The videos were shot during the pandemic, which made them more difficult to produce. We created an overview video of the College, CECAMM building, and some department-specific videos.

The Solution

The whole campaign was a success. Overall, the video content received very positive feedback from the Island’s community and an increased amount of visits to the IW College website was seen. We continue to work with the College a year later on various projects.
